I was blog hopping the other day and came across a photo challenge link, so I thought I'd give it a try. Anyone in with me? It's 26 things that they post each month and you take a picture of your enterpretation of the word. Since we couldn't be with one of our friends for her birthday, I made this to send to her. I made a cover for a Warm Delights cake so it would look nice and so it matched the card. I hope she likes it. :)

I had the bright idea of making an afghan for each one of the kids. Well I've apparently been working on Kayleigh's for too long because all I have heard for the past week is "Are you done yet? How much more do you have to go?". She has been wanting the afghan bad! Well today I finally finished it! She LOVES it! I haven't even been able to get a picture of it because she took it right into her bedroom, covered up with it, and didn't want to be bothered. lol! I'm going to get a pic of her tomorrow with it. It's pink with pink camo stripes. It's only the second one I've ever done. Now I have to start on Hannah's....then it's Brysen's...I think it's going to be a busy Spring. :)

Sick...STILL!

Ok this is getting ridiculous! I have been sick for 2 months! Not just two months off and on...2 months straight! It went from a cold, to a chest thing with a really bad cough, then a sinus infection which migrated into an ear infection where I lost all hearing in my left ear, back into a cold, and now I am dizzy (it happens when I stand, move, sit, or lay so I'm not sure what the deal is there *shrug*), coughing, achy, and tired as hell (to the point of Tad being the one doing all the cooking, running, and cleaning)! I went through a round of antibiotics (Zythromax) and Claritin and now the doctor wants me to go in for an XRay because he "hears something" in my lower left lung. It's beginning to feel A LOT like pneumonia and I'm not liking it at all! After this crap I better not be sick for the rest of the year!!!!

Ok I must have too much time on my hands or I'm nuts. I'm completely comfortable to go with the second one. lol! Anyway...the new blog is a house blog with all the goings on with our remodel. I just started it tonight so it's not finished, but I have a feeling it's going to be like the house...never completely done. I hope you all like it :)

This is how my weekend went. LOL! I thought...hey...I've done well so far picking my teams. Let's not go with what you KNOW you should do. Bet with the traveling teams...they've been the ones winning this season...be smart...go with Baltimore...go with Arizona (even though you REALLY think Carolina is going to win!)...go with Pitt...go with Chargers. If I would have been smart and went with my theory that road teams were going to win this weekend, I would have lost only ONE of the games Tad and I were betting on. Did I do that? NO! Of course I didn't! lol! Why would I do that? That would be smart! haha! Instead I picked the Titans, Carolina (which in the end didn't matter anyway because Tad just knew that the Panthers were going to win so he decided to just make that game a wash out), NY, and the Chargers. Well...now I have a bet to pay up on. *sigh* Tad wants to know if I'm pouting because he won. I could be, but I'm not. I am pouting because I knew better than going against the teams that I bet against. Now I have to pay up! lol!!! And you know what, I have to say that Victory sounds MUCH sweeter than house cleaning in the outfit of his choice! Maybe next week I'll listen to the smart me and not the "hey this sounds good" me and I'll be setting and taking pics to blog about while HE's cleaning the house in the outfit of MY choice! lol

Hey Now Hey Now, my mojo's back! I am SOOOO excited! I finally have my crafting mojo back and it feels sooooooo gooooooodd! This is the first real project I've done in almost 3 years...well the first one that it didn't take a ton of struggling to complete. :)

but I FINALLY figured out how to use the cover for the back of my camera so I can take self portraits! Yes, I am fully aware that I should have known how to do this a long time ago and yes I'm also aware that it was not that hard, BUT in my defense-I didn't play with it enough to know how to use it because I'm too busy being the one taking the pictures AND the little cover was made by the devil! lol! Here's what I got...not great, but hey...I take what I can get!

Just in case anyone still reads this thing, I figure I better post about my whereabouts. Well after a looooooong year, I am doing better. I am sorry if I worried anyone. I know of one person in paticular that I need to send a million appologies to and trust me...I will start sending them as soon as I can get logged in. :) I have no email addys, no numbers, no anything so if anyone is reading this please leave me a message so I can get a hold of you and we can catch up. I make no excuses for myself because the way I left is inexcusable. BUT, I hope once you all know what was going on you can forgive me for leaving the way I did. Things got way to much for me to handle and that's all I will give in detail for now. I will let you know what happened when I can get your email addys and let you know on a more personal level. Pageant Time!

Well today is THE day! Hannah's hair is in curlers, the dress is done, and everything is in the bag and ready to go. She has done so great at practice this week. I did make the mistake of telling her to just relax on Tuesday night and she started crying on me! LOL! She is having a lot of fun which I am so glad about. Some of those kids are highly stressed and so are their moms. My only stress is that I hope I did a good enough job on her dress and that it doesn't look like I made it. Tad's mom though I bought it at a bridal shop and Tad thinks it's beautiful. Hannah adores it so that's all that matters really. I think they're giving all the girls a little tiara of some sort and they all get a little goodie bag just for participating. So we will see how it goes...if Hannah will just relax and not be so nervous we''ll be doing great! :)

Ok I was told that I need to update my blog. Even though I have updated more in July alone than I have since I started the stinkin' thing I will update, just to MAKE BECKY HAPPY!!!

Well let's see....I've been working on Hannah's pageant dress. It's getting to the point where you can feel the finished product in your hands. The "why can't I be done already" point. She's loving it so far and I'll post a picture of her in it as soon as I get it all done.

Kayleigh has one more week of games....it's tournaments this coming week and then she has All Stars next weekend. Then it's all over and no more PeeWee for her. It'll be kinda sad. She moves up to Minors and Hannah moves up to PeeWee. We're still going to coach TBall though because we don't want to miss coaching Brysen when he gets old enough in 3 years. Then we will have coached all three kids in TBall and offically coached for 7 years when it's all said and done. Who knows....maybe I'll talk Tad into coaching even after Brysen is done. I just love those little ones!

I got to Job Shadow yesterday. My Diagnostics instructor let me shadow her and I had an amazing time! She does Mammography which is what I'm considering for my second Major. It was so interesting and the images you can get are amazing! Oh and just a reminder!!! At 35 get a Mammogram so when you start getting them regularly at age 40 they have a base image to go from so they know what your "normal" breast tissue looks like! This is so, so, so important!!! We had a woman that should have had 11 done by now and hadn't. We noticed a small spot, but aren't sure if it's anything since we don't know what her normal breast tissue looks like! And no one will know until they call her back in to have another one done with more views! The base Mammogram is more important than most people know! Ok....I'll stop my preaching now. LOL!!

just ONE decent shot of all three of the kids. I just need one...not 10, not 5, JUST ONE! Do you think I could get just one?? Of course not...whoever thinks it's easy to get 3 kids organized for a picture is clearly INSANE!

I was checking out all my fav blogs and noticed that Becky (Acceber) tagged me on her blog! Not me by name, but she tagged everyone by city and mine was on there. So now I have to post 7 random things about me and then tag 7 other people. Amy...get ready because I'm tagging you! lol

7 Random things about me:

1. I love Oreos and milk, but after I'm done dipping my Oreos I refuse to drink the milk.
2. My hair has been 3 different colors, but numerous shades of them.
3. I have lived in Michigan my entire life, but have always wanted to live in Pennsylvania or Virginia
4. I cannot drink a warm drink of any kind (it has to be freezing!)
5. I am becoming a scrapping supplies collector and not so much a scrapbooker :(
6. I refuse to pay a lot for my clothes (or the kids for that matter)
7. I HATE thunder storms...I have always been terrified of loud noises

On Thursday Tad and I will start playing CoEd softball! :) The good news is...it's only 6 weeks long and only one game a week. I'm actually getting pretty excited about it. We both love softball and Tad played for about 5 years or so, but I've never played anything other than backyard ball. I have to miss practice this week because it's tomorrow night and I have class, but they're going to try and make it a night everyone can be there. On top of us playing, Hannah had her first game of the season Saturday and Kayleigh's is on Tuesday. Busy Busy Busy!

First I spent all morning and afternoon shopping for flowers, yard deco, and clothes for Hannah and Bry. Then I get home and the Surgeon's office called and said that there was NO sign of cancer! What an amazing day!!
Thursday, Tad and I hit a deal on mulch...$5 bags for $2, so we bought 35 bags and did some landscaping so now not only is the mulch all pretty, but I have flowers down there now too. I bought my shepards hook hangers for $5 and $6 at JoAnns (they were all 1/2 off!). I'll take pictures of them tomorrow and post them. It was too dark out by the time we got done tonight. The house is really starting to come together! Soon I'll be able to post a couple before & after pics!

I wasn't feeling well at all Sunday and Monday, but I managed to get these pics of Tad and Bry out playing in the yard. They were so cute running around and playing Superman (one of Bry's favorite things). All you could hear was Tad making whooshing sounds and Bry giggling just as hard as he could!

How do you convince yourself that everything is going to be ok when you don't know that it will be? Brysen goes in for surgery on Wednesday and I've never been so scared in my life! He's 2 for God's sake! He shouldn't have to have surgery already! I know babies have surgery at younger ages, but those aren't MY babies...Brysen is MY baby! The baby that I suffered 9 months for, the one that we so patiently waited for, the one that brightens my day like I never thought was possible. He has to be ok....he just has to be...if I wish it enough and pray for it enough it has to happen...right?

I got a new camera!!! Ok Ok...I've had it for a couple of weeks, but I'm still trying to figure it all out so it's still new...right? :) The weather finally cleared up and got warm enough to take the kids outside and get some pics. I think they're sick of my camera already! Here are a few. Hannah was having a great time being my model so she got the most pictures done. Brysen was just a ball of energy and I could barely get one of him that wasn't blurry. Then there's Kayleigh...she always says she wants her picture taken, but once we get outside she's gone and practicing her swing. Aggggg....I'm NOT ready for ball season!!!
